Hey all, thanks for stopping by my website! It has always been on the backburner but I finally just had to reprioritize and put other projects on hold while I created this. I hope it serves to both educate and inspire you.
As a child I was constantly on the move. Something my mom often points out. I always had to be doing something. This restlessness has stayed with me over the years, pushing me to explore diverse interests such as sports, the arts and sciences, computers and technology, the outdoors, and traveling.
A bunch of things got tossed into this funnel of extracurricular activities and overtime I honed in on what was the most important. During high school, I developed a deep passion for music and robotics, while team sports gave way to outdoor activities like hiking and biking. My scope was narrowing and I became more focused.
I decided to pursue an engineering career at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) after high school, conveniently located about an hour from my family home. I continued my love of music through performance but that too tended to slip away as I learned there are only so many hours in a day. At some point something has to give. If I wanted to get serious about this whole engineering thing I had to put in the hours. I graduated in 2015 with two bachelor degrees in electrical engineering as well as robotics and drove out to the Bay Area, California a few months later to pursue a year long internship. This was a (really) big decision for me. I had never been away from home before.
The plan was to work in CA for a year and move back east to get my masters degree. But life happened. Nearly 10 years later, I am still living in the Bay Area with my lovely Polish wife who makes the best pierogi. I am now an electrical design engineer working in the field of power electronics. I have worked on professional engineering products in the robotic, automotive, and aerospace industries and in 2021 completed my masters degree in power engineering from University of Wisconsin Madison (UWISC).
Since graduation I have continued my passion of engineering outside of the normal work day. I have also explored new hobbies such as mountain biking, mountaineering, and backcountry skiing which have led to many exciting stories.
Over time it became more apparent that these engineering and outdoors projects should be documented and this website was born. Creating a platform to share your work is important. It forces you to go back and relive the process, thinking about it from a new perspective. It elevates the need to always create good work because projects that were once seen by few (or maybe nobody) can now be seen by all.
I aim for this site to be more than just a highlight reel. Reality includes failures and setbacks, and I believe it is important to share these moments because they matter—every detail matters.
