Santa's workshop was in full swing this year! My wife and I were celebrating our first Christmas together as a married couple, so I wanted to commemorate the milestone. A quick little fun project. A unique design with contrasting woods and leather string help to stand this ornament out from your everyday laser cut ornament found on Etsy.

Woods Used: Canary and Walnut
Bear Size: 5.75x3in
Finish: 220grit followed by hardwax oil (Rubio Monocoat)
Project Challenges and Lessons Learned:
I learned alot from the coaster project that I was able to apply here. Honestly, this project was pretty drama free. I had the photo editing process down well and knew what to look out for. I tested the image on a few wood types and canary just won without question. I loved how the wedding dress looked with the sunset colors flowing through. I wanted a contrasting wood for the sign and walnut was the obvious choice. The laser cutter made fast work of this project! The wife loved it, that's all that matters. Happy wife, happy life.
